Capitol Multimedia develops high-quality multimedia software that engages, entertains and educates children ages 3 to 14. The Company has created two product families Ð Grandpa Tales,distributed under Davidson & Associate Inc.'s Magic Tales interactive storybook series, and Kidventures, distributed under Broderbund Software Inc.'s StoryQuests learning adventures series.
The Magic Tales titles, Baba Yaga and the Magic Tales Geese, Imo and The King, and The Little Samurai, are spectacular presentations of interactive stories based on folklore from around the world. The stories encourage reading and understanding, while teaching valuable life lessons.
Based on a centuries-old Russian folk tale, Baba Yaga and the Magic Geese, is a story of a headstrong young girl whose exciting adventure in an enchanted forest teaches her the importance of accepting responsibility and keeping promises.
Based on a classic African folk tale, Imo and The King, is a story of a courageous boy who sets out to become the King's successor and as his adventure unfolds, learns that kind acts are rewarded with kindness.
Inspired by a classic Japanese folk tale and passed down from generation to generation, The Little Samurai, is a story of a little boy who embarks on an exciting journey and discovers that laughter is the mightiest weapon of all.
The StoryQuests titles, Gregory and The Hot Air Balloon and Darby The Dragon, are interactive adventures which challenge kids with intriguing problem-solving activities. Each title features a colorful cast of friendly animal characters and unfolds with magical surprises and musical interludes while teaching valuable life lessons about cooperating and helping others.
Gregory and The Hot Air Balloon features Gregory Chuckwood and his pet lizard, Newt, who, after a wild ride in a loose hot air balloon find themselves way off course. Together, they must solve a series of problems which eventually lead to one last challenge to help Gregory and Newt find their way back home.
In Darby The Dragon, Darby and his big sister, Sparkle, embark on an enchanting adventure through the kingdom of Dragondale. Kids utilize problem-solving skills to try and reverse the effects of a hasty wish Darby makes after finding a magical wand.

Creating innovative products is not all fun and games. Our software titles are the result of a complex and creative technological process. Much like the process that traditional film studios use to create a feature film, our products are developed utilizing a studio approach. From its inception as a concept, the project is refined through story lines, character development, screen designs, story boards, and dialog scripts. Each title is designed and developed completely in house utilizing a collaborative international team of experts in programming, graphics and animation, sound, and post-production. In-house development allows the company to maintain complete control over the quality and content of its products.
