Release Date "Investigation"
When did Laser Lords get released? The copyright date on the box art is 1992, and the latest "last modified" date on the disc is September 9th, 1992. As such, it can be assumed that the game came out in late 1992, though as we've seen with Zelda's Adventure, this method of release date checking isn't very reliable.
Can we corroborate this with evidence from contemporary publications, like what I have done with so many other games on this site?
Well, a major roadblock to this effort is that Laser Lords is a very early CD-i title. While some gaming magazines did cover and review the console's games, they only started doing it after it had been made available for a couple of years. The dedicated CD-i magazines, like Haymarket Publishing's CD-i and Haarlems Uitgeef Bedrijf's CD-interactief, wouldn't start until 1993 and 1994 respectively, well after Laser Lords' supposed release year. As a result, finding any contemporary review or press release would be difficult - even more so than Animation Magic's Zelda games.
Right?
While I was doing some investigation on the StarTribes screenshots, I actually came across a press release
